Two people and one dog were found dead in a grisly scene at a posh California home, where a mysterious bomb threat was scrawled on the wall, according to new reports.
A resident called 911 Thursday around 7 p.m. when he came home and discovered the woman on the bottom floor of the Simi Valley dwelling — within a gated community — suffering from a traumatic injury, Simi Valley Police Department Commander Steve Shorts told KTLA.
Fire officials responded to the scene, initially considering it a medical emergency, Shorts said.
The unidentified woman was pronounced dead on scene, though it wasn’t clear how she died, according to the report.
An unidentified man and a pooch, both with gunshot wounds, were also found dead upstairs, authorities told ABC 7.
Then authorities discovered the bomb threat on the wall.
“Pretty involved in terms of there is a lot of blood at the scene, but we don’t have any further information beyond that,” Shorts told the outlet of the scene.
Neighbors in the usually-quiet community were evacuated and the SWAT team and bomb squad were called in. Police said they did not initially find any evidence of explosives.
“It’s really scary, especially in this neighborhood,” resident Jenna Clark told the station. “Wood Ranch is like, nothing ever happens here.”
