On social networks, a photograph was released showing a Chinese surgeon sleeping on a hospital floor. The same doctor told the local Longgang canal that he had fallen asleep after having had seven surgeries without interruption.
Dai Yu, who holds the position of Deputy Director of the Department of Orthopedics at Longgang Central Hospital in Shenzhen City, reported that the photo was taken on August 26th.
On that date, his workday began at eight in the morning and at five in the afternoon he had already operated on seven patients.
The doctor explained that he worked incessantly so that all patients were treated in time. However, the surgeon said that situations like his are common in several Chinese clinics and that in some cases specialists have to perform up to 10 operations a day.
