An inmate, who is serving a sentence for drug trafficking in the Gericinò penitentiary complex, located in the west of Rio de Janeiro, over the weekend attempted to escape dressed as a woman, particularly as if she were his daughter. The agents of the State Secretariat for Prison Administration (Seap), however, discovered the plan preventing it from escaping, the local media said.
Clauvino da Silva, 42, known as Baixinho, tried to get out of the main door of the prison with a silicone mask, wig and women's clothes. The authorities explained that the detainee would leave his daughter in prison using his clothes to try to escape. But his abnormal behavior made the guards who stopped him in time suspicious. The man is serving a sentence of 73 years and 10 months in prison.
