FlixBus, the well-known European mobility company, witnessed, for the first time in its history, a happy and unexpected event: the birth of a child on one of her buses.
The small Zenep came into the world on Wednesday 8 May aboard a FlixBus departed from Barcelona and headed for Brussels, which at the time of the event was in France, between Paris and Lille.
The drivers, informed of what was going to happen at 3.30 am, immediately made an emergency stop at a service station located in Ressons (in the Oise department), calling emergency services and taking care of the approximately 30 passengers that they were on board the bus.
The birth was successful, and Zenep was promptly transferred together with her parents to a hospital in nearby Compiègne. Both the child and the mother are in excellent health.
To celebrate the happy event, FlixBus will allow Zenep to travel free on its network until its eighteenth birthday.
