They found him lying on his blanket. They tried to revive him, but in the end the two elderly Russian sisters gave up: their little dog Dik, 18, had died. At least they believed that. So much so that he was buried in a field near their home in the village of Novonikolsk.
But after two days the incredible surprise: the dog is seen wandering on a highway, tired and tried.
So some passers-by stopped and took him to a kennel nearby where the volunteers took care of him and Irina Mudrova, the head of the facility, posted her picture on social networks.
"Fortunately, they buried him not in depth and managed to return to the surface after having regained consciousness," says Mudrova, who managed to trace the two elderly sisters who came to the shelter after a few days.
Moved and happy about the good news, the two women thanked the volunteers for a donation of 5 thousand rubles (about 69 euros)
