A storm of controversy for the authorities of the city of Mynski, in the Siberian region of Kemerovo, after the publication of a video on YouTube that shows how the snow is painted white to hide the pollution.
It was a woman named Svetlana Zelenina who shot the video, showing how, a slide made of snow built to make children play, it was colored white to make it less evident the dirt of the snow and the coal dust coming from the nearby quarries.
As soon as the news became public knowledge, the mayor of Mynski could not help but apologize to the citizens, taking it with the municipal employees for their original solution.
It is not the first time that unusual solutions are used by the Russian authorities to mask the serious problem of pollution or infrastructure. Some time ago the authorities of a city near St. Petersburg had repaired a road ... with Photoshop!
