It seems that there are some plants and animals without which man could not survive; it seems strange, but let's not forget that man is part of an ecosystem in which there are relations between all the components that are part of it: So, there are some plants that have evolved for millions of years ending up entrusting to the bees themselves their reproduction (with pollination) and there is the man who, just like these plants, could not live without bees. Yet, despite being recognized among the most important animals, bees continue to decline in number.
The most important task that bees do is not the production of honey, but the reproduction of plants, some of which can reproduce only thanks to the pollination of bees.
There are many motivations, but those dealing with environmental pollution are not the only ones: there are different types of pollution that, for the most part, go to involve the health of these and other creatures.
The pollution of the signals emitted and received by mobile phones, for example, seems to be one of the factors contributing to the death of bees: the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology has observed that the wireless signals we are surrounded by disorient the bees bringing them to death .
The most incisive factor in the death of bees, however, remains environmental pollution: the use of any agricultural pesticides, in particular, have proved to be harmful to bees. Few contaminated bees can bring the entire hive to extinction.
The use of mobile phones, as well as that of pesticides, seems to be inevitable: but then, what can be done to save the bees?
In this regard, the Greenpeace has identified some points on which it is possible to intervene to save the bees:
Research and monitoring of bee health.
Call for toxic pesticides.
Promotion of sustainable agricultural alternatives.
Creation of protected areas without waves and polluting substances.
That of bees should be a central issue in international discussions because, as environmentalists and scientists reiterate, a world without bees would be a world without human beings.
